Nancy Dawn Van Beest, MS, LMFT
As a seasoned therapist with many years of professional and personal experience, I work with both individuals and couples, and people from all walks of life are welcome here. One of my specialties is to offer a private and supportive place where mental and physical health providers or therapists (and their partners) can find support.
It's not unusual for couples to find themselves stuck in painful patterns, unsure of how to make things better. If you want to . . .
- feel close again
- get free from destructive conflict
- rediscover your love connection
. . . then let's talk. Change is possible, and there's hope for your relationship! Whether you want to improve a solid relationship, smooth up some rough edges (trust, communication, conflict) or recover from more difficult things like infidelity, addiction, or loss of closeness, couples therapy can help.
I've had success helping couples work through a wide range of challenges. My primary approach is EFT (emotionally focused therapy for couples) a well documented approach based on solid research for improving relationships with lasting results. Couples of all types and backgrounds are welcome.
You'll find me an engaged and creative partner in healing as we work together to reach your goals. I have experience helping adults with: stress and anxiety management, work issues, depression, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, binge and emotional eating, self-esteem and self-image, emotional management, conflict, all kinds of relationship issues, and support for the creative self.
I am a MN licensed marriage and family therapist and supervisor with degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and the University of Minnesota.
I am typically covered by: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Preferred One, UHC, UCare, Health Partners (Open Access network.) Private pay by cash, check or credit card, or through HSA account also accepted.
