Cindy Frederick, MA, LMFT
I find that people come to therapy with a wide variety of experiences and expectations. I choose to meet each individual and couple with an open mind in order to allow for a collaborative relationship that is unique to each new relationship. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been in private practice since 2005. Over twenty five years of marriage and raising three children also add to my experience.
Working with Couples
I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and I am working toward certification. I recommend Sue Johnson’s book Hold Me Tight as a wonderful resource for building closeness in your relationship and it will add to your experience of EFT couples work.
PREPARE/ENRICH is another format I find very beneficial to couples preparing for marriage or wanting to strengthen an existing marriage. I am able to work with both couples or groups of couples. Arrangements can be made to provide Group PREPARE at your own site. Many counties do provide a discount on your marriage license with documentation of at least 12 hours of premarital counseling. I am also a trainer for anyone interested in becoming a P/E facilitator.
Working with Individuals
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, panic, PTSD, grief and loss, ADD, Christian/spirituality concerns and work/career challenges. I work from a solution-focused position and help you to identify your own personal resources of strength. We will work together to find your best life balance and the tools and strategies to help you to gain and maintain this balance over time.
Insurance and fees
I am currently in-network with Healthpartners and BCBS and am awaiting full credentialling with Medica, PreferredOne, MA, UBH and UHC. I have also found that many couples prefer the option of out-of-pocket pay. We can talk by phone about the advantages of his option.
Cindy is available at the Roseville office on Wednesdays and Thursday evenings.
